OPI Alcatraz Rocks

I may have mentioned in the past that I am addicted to the textured polishes, a trend that started for me with the first Mariah Carey OPI collection. I got the set of minis in early 2013 and fell in love, most particularly with Stay the Night and Can't Let Go. I loved Stay the Night so much I bought the full size immediately!
There have been others, but nothing that blew me away until I saw the launch of Alcatraz Rocks and I had to have it! This is without a doubt my favourite liquid sand, I have worn it on my toes a few times now but I was still so excited to see it on my hands at last!!!!
It's a steely blue sand mix, and the tiny pieces of glitter pick up the full spectrum of colours in almost all lights. It does look more grey in the bottle and if it was more grey I would still love it, eyes peeled for a grey version! When it's not catching the light it is a gorgeous slate blue colour, and very wearable.
I love that its quite subtle in tone, rather than bright. It's got that denim sort of tone to it that I think means it will look good with so many colours and styles.
It painted on beautifully, I have used 2 coats here, and obviously no top coat. You do have to take a little care whilst they are drying, they dry quickly but will show knocks in the first hour or so, after that - "rock" hard!
It is polishes like these that make me want to wear them forever, I don't need anything else! and of course it's blue and it's got glitter in - ticks all the boxes for me :)
